Our promise
We only recommend food that's 100% real — whole, minimally processed, and free of seed oils, synthetic additives, and "natural flavors." If we can't find a clean packaged version, we tell you to make it yourself in 5 minutes.
The rubric
Always rejected
Seed/industrial oils (soybean, canola, corn, sunflower, 'vegetable oil'), 'natural flavors,' artificial colors and sweeteners, BHA/BHT/TBHQ, sodium nitrite, mono- and diglycerides, carrageenan, polysorbates, dough conditioners, hydrogenated fats, modified starches, and protein isolates.
Always accepted
Whole grains and traditional flours, real fats (EVOO, butter, ghee, tallow), single-ingredient meats and produce, raw honey and maple, real sourdough, fermented foods with live cultures.
Yellow-flagged but allowed
Citric acid, mixed tocopherols, sunflower lecithin, small amounts of cane sugar in fermented or traditional products. We name these so you can decide.
How the AI stays honest
Every analysis runs a two-pass system. The first pass writes the report. A second "auditor" pass re-reads it and removes any brand it isn't at least 90% confident still passes the rubric — formulas drift, and we'd rather drop a name than mislead you. We also force structured output (no free-form answers), so the AI can't ramble around the rubric.
Always read the label yourself.
Brand formulas change quietly. We're teaching you what to look for — the final check is always at the shelf.
What we don't do
- No "low-fat," "lite," or "sugar-free" recommendations.
- No diet advice, no calorie math, no medical claims.
- No selling your data. Ever.
